"The River" Triptych
I painted this triptych as a second installment to "The Bluff". I wanted to show the farmstead on the river as shown from the top of the bluff and continue the story of the riders and their dogs. The Kingfisher is gliding past with it's wings tucked, carrying a minnow. A Fence Rail Lizard looks up at it. The man and woman on horseback have arrived at the homestead before the storm and are rounding up the dogs and unloading supplies from a barge. In the foreground, under the shade of the sycamore tree, an old johnboat is pulled up on the shore next to two cane poles. The Red-Shouldered hawk from "The Bluff" sits as a sentinel above the scene.
This triptych is available as a single panoramic print professionally "stitched" together as if it was one painting (no lines, perfectly matched) or as individual paintings.
